Parking Nudger
Privacy policy
How Parking Nudger processes your data, and how you control export, deletion and permissions.

Who is responsible
Parking Nudger is developed by Lars Jørgensen, AI med Lars. Contact for the app and personal data: use the contact form.
This policy covers Parking Nudger, this website and support enquiries. The app does not require an account with us. We do not run a server receiving your parking sessions, locations or receipts.
Data processed by the app
The app processes data needed for the features you choose:
- Parking sessions, times, zones, notes and a saved car location.
- Optional profile and vehicle details, including vehicle name, model and licence plate, receipts and payment notes.
- Location and Motion & Fitness signals for parking, departure and finding your car.
- Optional ignored places with a name, address, coordinates and radius.
- Local settings, detection feedback and learning data, and Apple's subscription status.
We use no advertising SDKs or third-party analytics, do not sell personal data and do not use your data for advertising or tracking.
Location, motion and your choices
Automatic nudging is off by default. Background detection starts only when you enable it and grant the required permissions. Location and motion are processed on your device to distinguish activities such as driving and walking.
Normal detection uses raw location samples briefly on device and does not store complete driving routes by default. A car location or ignored place is saved when you choose to save it.
Optional Teach and Smart Detection can save local observations with sensor readings and coordinates. If you explicitly start Teach Recorder, the recording can contain precise location samples and a route. Recordings stay local and can be deleted. They are not sent to us or to an external AI service.
You can turn off automatic nudging in the app and change location, motion, camera and notification permissions in iPhone Settings. Manual entry does not require all these permissions.
Images, signs and imported receipts
The camera, images and files are used only after your own action. Text from signs, images and PDF receipts is read and interpreted locally. You review suggestions before using them for a parking session.
Apple Intelligence can assist with text suggestions on supported devices. The app's Foundation Models processing takes place on device; core features also work without Apple Intelligence. Precise coordinates and raw routes are not used in model suggestions. Parking Nudger does not use Private Cloud Compute or a hosted AI service for this processing.
Images, PDFs, email files (.eml) and text can be stored locally as original attachments, up to 20 per parking session and 12 MB per file. iCloud syncs metadata only; originals stay on the importing device. Emails are displayed as text without external resources. A share-sheet import stays in a local queue for up to 24 hours and is removed after successful processing or your deletion. The queue holds at most five imports.
Optional iCloud sync and Apple devices
If you enable iCloud sync, parking and settlement metadata, profile, app choices and ignored places can sync through your private iCloud/CloudKit database hosted by Apple. Receipt image files, raw routes and Teach recordings are not uploaded as part of this sync. Subscription status comes from the App Store.
Widgets, Live Activity, Apple Watch and CarPlay use a limited snapshot of app status. The app also works without iCloud sync. iCloud and device backups follow your Apple settings and Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases and services you open
Premium is purchased and managed through Apple. The app processes verified subscription status; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
Parking Nudger never starts, changes or stops parking payments. If you open a payment or map app, that provider processes information under its own policy. A route to your car that you initiate can pass the saved destination to your chosen map app.
Retention and deletion
Completed parking history is kept for three months by default. You can choose no history, one, three or six months, one year or unlimited retention. Cleanup occurs when the app processes history. Active sessions are retained while active.
Profile, settings, ignored places and optional local recordings stay until you change or delete them, or local limits remove older data. Normal raw detection samples are used briefly; share imports have a 24-hour limit.
You can delete individual parking sessions or all app data in Settings. Complete deletion includes local sessions, attachments, profile, choices, learning data, recordings and saved app state. The app also attempts to delete matching records from your private iCloud database. While offline, only minimal record IDs, record types and deletion timestamps remain until the deletion can finish.
A data export includes your saved app data and locally available attachments. Exports or copies saved outside the app are not automatically removed by its deletion feature. Device backups are managed through Apple.
Diagnostics and support
The app may save limited technical diagnostics locally. If you choose to share analytics or crash data with Apple, Apple may provide diagnostics to the developer. This is not a third-party analytics feature in the app.
If you contact support, we receive your name, email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. The form processes the message through the cHosting web host and sends it as email; the website does not keep a message copy. We use the information to answer and follow up on your enquiry. They are kept while needed for the case and applicable legal requirements, then deleted when no longer needed. Send only relevant information and avoid licence plates, precise locations and payment details where possible.
This website
This page uses no cookies, advertising, analytics or external fonts. Language selection changes only the page content and URL in your browser. The contact form sends name, email address and message through cHosting; the website does not keep a copy. A hash of the IP address and recent submission times is held temporarily on the host to limit spam.
The cHosting web host may process standard server logs containing an IP address, time, requested URL and technical browser information for delivery, troubleshooting and security. Retention depends on hosting log and backup settings. We do not use logs for advertising or behavioural profiling.
Legal basis and your rights
Where we process data to answer your enquiry or provide an agreed service, the basis is the contract or your request before entering one (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Necessary operation, security and troubleshooting rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Optional permissions and choices can be withdrawn; where processing relies on consent, Article 6(1)(a) applies.
Under applicable rules, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and object to processing. Use the contact form. We cannot retrieve local app data or your private iCloud database for you; the app's export and deletion features give you direct control.
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Apple and providers you open explain their processing, recipients and any international transfers in their own policies.
Changes
We update this policy if features or data processing change. The current version and date appear on this page. Significant changes requiring new choices or permissions are handled through the relevant user flow.
